President

Welcome Home from President Ralph McKie
US Army

Hello Everyone;
Welcome home to all Veterans.

I want to thank the members for having the confidence to elect me as the President of Mohave County Chapter 975.
I will continue to make this Chapter successful as our former President Gene Crego has done for the last three years.  Thanks Gene you are very special in all of our hearts for what you have accomplished.
My goal is to continue to help Veterans and to increase membership. I will need every ones help to reach these goals.
If anyone needs to talk about any issues please contact me, by phone, email, in person or by snail mail, and I will assist in any way that I can.
As I have said in the past that I will never be able to fill Gene Crego's shoes, but I will try to the best of my ability to fill mine.
I also want to thank Dave Stafford for the outstanding Job he has done with our Web Site and welcome him as the 1st Vice President. I know he will continue to help Veterans and to make our chapter visible thru our Web Site.

To all potential members I would like to tell you that we are a very active and productive Chapter and we have a lot of business and people in Mohave County that help support Veterans.

I also want to let everyone know that even if you are not a Veteran you can still be part of our great Organization by joining the Associates of the Vietnam Veterans of America if you would like to contribute your time and efforts to helping Veterans.
Please attend one of our meetings and see what we are all about.

Thanks again
Ralph D. McKie

Welcome home to all Viet Nam Veterans. Thank you to all those men and women, who have recently served, or are currently serving in our military service. A special thanks to the Military Medical personnel, who work so diligently to help our service men and women. Many of us would not be here today if it wasn’t for them. I would also like to thank the Mohave County Sherriff’s for their assistance in the fund raising events which have been instrumental to VVA Chapter 975 in providing help and resources to our Veterans, their families and our community. As the newly elected Secretary of Viet Nam Veterans of America, Chapter 975; I will work with the other officers and members of our organization to promote the efforts and standards our organization and to keep the members informed. As an American Indian, I am proud to have served our country and will continue to do my best for The Viet Nam Veterans of America, Chapter 975. Chief W.D. Werth. Secretary, VVA Chapter 975

FROM THE TREASURER

The end of our chapters year is about here, we go from March 1 to Feb. 28th and the state requires a report from each chapter and is due by the 15th of March. I try to have my report done and mailed off to the state by the first of march.  We do need to find a way to raise money for our programs that we do have going  now.

Everyone I do hope you had a good 2011 and a better year 2012 to come.

Charlie Smith

Chaplain

  Greetings From Chaplain Tom Hanlon
US Army

Message from the Chaplain. Dear Brothers and Sisters in Arms, Another year has passed and 2009 is upon us. It was a blessing to be able to serve and with God’s grace and mercy, we will continue in our efforts to do His will for each of our members, families and active duty and veterans that He brings to us. I am especially thankful to Chap J Glen and Chap Sisto for helping to cover our wide spread geography and to back each other up when needed. A pastor friend of mine said “growing old is not for the faint of heart!” We all go through it from time to time and “brothers forever” we will continue. Saint Paul tells us in Galatians chapter 6; 9-10: 9 So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. 10 Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith. NLT Let’s continue to pray for our Government, Servicemen and women and our fellow veterans and brothers and sisters in arms as we move forward into 2009. Lord Bless and Keep You! Chap Tom

This is a note to let every one know that I am working on a new section to the site representing all branches of military service. It is designed to give everyone a chance to post stories of any good times in the military. And to not to just talk about the war times. So if anyone has a tale to tell whether it be about training they received or a trip on leave to some other country let me know so I can add it to the site.
