Chapter 975 Service Officer Program

We opened our VSO Office for 2 days a week (Friday & Saturday) from 10 AM to 5PM.  With little advertising (fliers posted in Golden Valley) we have, generated a good response in the community.  We have been able to help 6 vets as well as giving information to several Veterans and families.  After the zoning glitch is overcome I will be in the office 5 days a week to help Veterans. When we can get the word out that we are open for business we should be doing 40 to 60 claims a week.  I’m meeting with our first IRAQ Veteran this Saturday.

Everyone who has been involved with this program should feel very proud of themselves.  I know I feel much honored and privileged to be helping our Veterans.  We are making and will continue to make a difference in our local Veterans lives.
