History of Blue Star, Silver Star, and Gold Star Families.

The War Mothers Flag was first flown over our Nation's Capitol on Armistice Day (now known as Veterans Day), November 11, 1926.  That first flag was purchased by the American War Mothers, and authority for flying the flag annually on November 11th is granted by written permission of the Vice President and the Speaker of the House.  (The act of July 1, 1882, regulating the use of the Capitol Grounds vests the Vice President and Speaker with the authority to grant this privilege.)

Veterans Tribute

I would like to advise all veterans and members of Vietnam Veterans of America, I was contacted by someone wanting to link their website. Since then I have had several communications with the writer, and a phone conversation in which I learned just how much care and dedication is behind the website at http://vetstribute.com/linkspage/links1.html/span>

especially by someone that is and has never been in the military. I believe every person that reads this and has visited the website should send a message via the visitor sign in book to let them know just how you feel./p>

We will be at IHOP  on October 21st for an all day veterans benifit, so be sure and get out to dinner and support the Veterans that made this country what it is today ....safe and free to all people living in the United States.

Be sure to check this information out, you can make a difference in a veterans life. You donate a car or truck, we receive a portion of the money when the car is sold. The money goes to helping veterans.
